Education and Training

Monthly meetings consist of speaker presentations on topics and issues pertaining to medical coding, billing & reimbursement, practice management, regulations & policies, and the healthcare industry in general.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

Meeting presentations are AAPC approved for one CEU per hour of instruction.

Networking

The membership is composed of coders, billers, office managers, compliance officers, consultants, instructors, healthcare providers & administrators, as well as companies providing same or similar services. With this rich diversity of positions, resources become available to enrich and support one’s knowledge, career, practice or company.

Hardship Scholarship

The Monmouth Ocean Hardship Scholarship Committee has been developed to help Local Chapter members in need of financial aid to cover annual dues, current coding books, or other items necessary to continue to remain current in our quickly changing industry. The Committee will award scholarships on a quarterly basis after review of all applications. All funds are disbursed based on availability and applicant's ability to demonstrate reasonable hardship. MONMOUTH OCEAN POINTS

Earn valuable points while helping out your chapter. Members earn by volunteering their time and efforts during meetings, seminars and committees. Some of last year's top point earners received free seminars, AAPC bucks (good for national seminars or goods) and free meetings.

Monthly Meeting Admission and Fee Discount

$10 for members; $15 for non members. We request that you register your planned attendance via whoscoming.com/aapc. This will enable your officers to better plan for handouts, beverages, and especially food quantities. Non-members can attend up to three meetings only.

How to Join

Contact info@aapc.com and request to become a member of the Monmouth-Ocean NJ Chapter. Fill out a membership form and submit it to the Chapter.
